Amongst Kissimmee's 45 designated eco-tourism attractions is Gatorland, also known as the alligator capital of the world. This park allows guests to see and experience many exciting and educational shows such as: Jungle Crocs of the World, Gator Wrestling, Gator Jumparoo, and Snakes of Florida.

Including nearby Walt Disney World and Universal Studio's theme park, also easily accessible by car from Kissimmee are SeaWorld Orlando, Cypress Gardens, the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, and Water Mania.

Bordering the city of Kissimmee to the south, the 18,810-acre West Lake Tohopekaliga has long been a popular bass fishing lake for both recreational and tournament anglers. In recent years, both Bass Anglers Sportsmen Society (B.A.S.S.) and Forrest L. Wood (FLW) bass tournaments have been held out of the Kissimmee lakefront park. Winning weights are routinely in the 18-to 25-pound range. To date, the largest bass documented from the lake weighed 17.10 pounds.

In addition to what's on offer fishing-wise, there are also Bicycle Trails, Bicycling, Birding, Boating, Canoeing, Jet skiing, Natural Wildlife Viewing, Parasailing, and Swimming.

Kissimmee Golf CourseLocated very close to Disney World, the Kissimmee Golf Club (KGC) presents golfing at its best, with unobstructed fairways and views. Prices vary depending on the season and walking is permitted only during twilight and summer months. Semi-Private, 18 holes, Par 72.

There is a virtual smorgasbord of dining delight throughout Kissimmee.

If you enjoy shopping you will find many factory outlets along Highway 192 which sell designer labels at discount prices. More shopping is available at the Florida Mall approximately 20 minutes away, as well as within Disney World. At Old Town, which is based on the main street of a typical American small town of the mid 1950s, there are 75 shops, 8 family restaurants, and a couple of bars, along with a 1950s-themed Fun Fair.

Florida MallConveniently located just minutes from Orlando International Airport, International Drive, Walt Disney World, SeaWorld and Universal Studios, Florida Mall is on the corner of South Orange Blossom Trail and Sand Lake Road in Orlando, Florida.

Osceola Square Mall is closer to downtown Kissimmee and has 50 or so stores including Calvin Klein, Gap and Tommy Hilfiger. Designer clothing can be available for up to a third of the price you would expect to pay in the UK.
